Jiannan Guo is a senior researcher of Peking University, and was an Associate Professor of Economics at the Research Institute of Economics and Management (RIEM), South-western University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), China. He completed his undergraduate and Master education at Peking University, and received a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick. His research has mainly focused on Development and Industrial Economics and Finance, and its applications to the Chinese economy. In 2007, he received the Best PhD Paper Award at the CEA (UK) 18th Annual Conference in Nottingham. Dr. Guo has been largely involved into government consulting and decision process, such as preparing post-quake construction plans after 2008 earthquake. He is an advisor of Sichuan Provincial Government’s economic decision meetings, as well as the external IC member of Chengdu Financial Holding Group Company, and now is acting as Founding Partner of an industrial investment fund (Guangzhou DSQ Capital) and independent director of several list companies.
